Question Heartburn relief from food

what do you use when Heartburn affects you. tonight i went out for Mexican and now i got a good case of Heartburn. so what do you use when food gives you Heartburn?
im just taking rolaids trying to get some relief right now

1/2 teaspoon baking soda to 1/2-1 cup of water. Works almost immediately.

That's good to know for future reference. I haven't had heartburn since the doc put me on Nexium. What an amazing pill.

nexium is amazing stuff, but if you don't want to pay for it use rolaids or tums. i prefer rolaids, but i use both

zantac or pepcid AC, which I pretty much take daily at this point.

im on omeprazole generic for prilosec . as it turned out last night .i think i got some bad food it did come back the way in went down .

prilosec doesn't touch me, neither did pepcid or zantac, nexium is the only thing that works prescription, but rolaids is easier for me to use. and i can use it for flareups

Before Nexium, I was on prescription Zantac. Did nothing. Maybe the stress was too much. Rolaids and Tums are good for about 1-2 minutes of relief for me. I didn't start getting heartburn until about 3 years ago. Doc says I am PTSD.
