This has been HUGELY popular, so popular in fact that
they asked us to stop posting it! However, they just decided a few minutes ago

YES they will ask you for your credit card, even for the LiveBasics - here's their explanation:

I didn't read the complete terms but it says after beta period they will charge you monthly.:

As long as you choose LiveBasics, it's free. Always.

It's still alive today. You do have to give out your cr. card info. but they won't charge it if you choose Basic. Good for starter. Free anyway.
