Folks-

Please be aware, that these deals are NOT going through Comcast themselves, but rather through resellers. They use the Comcast logos, very similar websites, etc. (such as Comcastspecials.com), but the simple truth is this:

(and this is not to bash the posting or discourage the deals!)

- Comcast does NOT offer wireless routers with any packages.
- Comcast does NOT offer any rebates or cash back.
- Comcast can not speak to anything related to these deals on GotApex, including promotional codes.

This is all the work of Comcast RESELLERS, who are reselling Comcast core services, and just sweetening the pot a little. Let the buyer beware.

this was perfect because i just called comcast yesterday for internet only service. they were charging me $69 for 8mb service.

i contacted these guys and got the following info...

- the 19.99 deal (at least for the Sacramento area i live in) is only good if you currently have comcast service. i do not.

- with internet only service (8mbps) it's $36 for the first 6 months. my rep suggested i sign up for basic cable (which i don't need because i want to keep my direct tv service) so that i can take advantage of the 19.99 deal. all in all, it would cost me $32 for first 6 months. afterward, it goes up to $57. they would install the basic cable (local chanels) but it shouldn't interfere w/ my dish service.

- the $125 cash back is a cash rebate that you mail in for. sounds legit.

- i now have to wait until tomorrow to set up service w/ them because i just cancelled my comcast appointment today. apparently it takes a day to take me out of the system and they can't set me up w/out me being taken out of comcast's system first.

overall, it still looks like a good deal. i'll be going w/ them AT LEAST for the 6 month promotion period.

There is *no possible way* to get just the above deal. You must sign up for cable in order to get the bonus internet package. Comcast is a bunch of f*tards, and love misleading advertising.
