HP Pavilion s3100n Slimline PC (Refurbished) with 2.1GHz AMD LIVE, 1GB DDR2, 250GB SATA, DVD+/RW and WinVista for Only $299.99 after Rebate with FREE Shipping

IT'S BACK... again! At least for now,... so if you see it in stock, I'd get
it while you can. Refurbished to be new, at only $299, you get a very nicely
equipped desktop computer that has a very small footprint yet can do pretty
much everything you want it to. The rebate is small at only $50 and expires
10/31/07. HP

Just a little correction, although the description correctly states desktop computer, the link says notebook.

Still a good deal though, I think I might pick one up for my Mother.

Remember this about HP: they will only do a exchange or repair on a refurb. And the warranty is 90 days. Finally from past personal history I never buy a new or refurb of theirs.

I ended up having second thoughts just because of the refurb thing. Most likely will go with one of the dell deals that include an LCD monitor. I've had pretty good experiences with Dell in the past and it's pretty hard to beat the price.

(As long as you don't need to deal with tech support)
