There are actually 2 great 50" plasma deals with both Insignia's being Samsung panels. And even though the 50" for $747 is a 720P, according to the manual (that you can see HERE), it can actually go up to 1080 with the HDMI. The 1080P Insignia plasma is just $999.99 folks. Both TV's come with a 2 year warranty and I'd highly suggest buying it online and then picking it up at your local store to save on shipping.

• Update: There's actually a 52" 1080P LCD HDTV also on sale for just $999.99. The difference other than that it's an LCD TV (which some of you prefer) is that it comes with the standard 1 year warranty instead of the 2 like the TV's above. It looks like the plasma HDTV's above have got very good reviews, even in the home theater forums while this LCD HDTV here is a bit of a mixed bag.
