The memory was delivered quickly and installed in minutes. Worked fine the first time. Will have to wait and see if the incredably slow response to the rebate arrives.
It was not clear whether my laptop would take up to 1G per slot or total of the two slots. Answer 1G total! Was this review helpful?

I have used this memory to upgrade a really old laptop, and the laptop is now fit for playing some games for kids. Boot time is faster and I can now run many applications together. However, sadly I have been receiving many BSODs and Kernel Panics (using both Windows xp and Ubuntu on it). Of late, I also notice that about 1-2% of the times, the screen becomes garbled and the PC hangs soon after startup.
Barring this little problem, the RAM has been a great buy for a casual PC user.
However I wouldn't recommend it for more serious work, e.g. professional gaming or for servers. Was this review helpful?
