can anyone tell me what language this is? (might be portugese)
so i'm checkin out the new Cut Chemist album that dropped recently, and there's one song that i happen to enjoy quite a bit.
however, the woman singing on the track is speaking a foreign language, and i'm just curious to know what it is. i can make out the word "capoeira" several times, but to me, the woman's singing doesn't sound like any portugese i've ever heard before. here's a link to Cut Chemist's myspace music page; if you think you can help, please listen to the track entitled "The Garden." the singing comes in at right around the 1:48 mark: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...endID=52768172 TIA ![]()

The singing is a Astrud Gilberto sample. She's the Brazilian chick who sang on The Girl from Ipanema. So, ya, it's Portuguese
