After seeing the trailer, I'm willing to give it the "Final Fantasy: The Sprits Within" treatment -- in other words, I'm willing to forget that it's called Transformers and live with it.
Honestly it looks pretty good (and this was seconded by my brother -- who is a HUGE Transformers fan and was protesting this movie since it was announced that Michael Bay was directing it.

i think i feel similarly to GuruX's brother. i'm not a fan of michael bay, and i too was disappointed that he would be the one to bring this childhood love of mine to life.
at the same time, i'll reiterate that i think if there's anyone who can do a balls-out action movie, michael bay is a decent choice for it. and yes, the trailer does look pretty damn good. i'm actually looking forward to it more now.
