Trump calls Rosie a "Fat Slob"
This is too funny!
http://www.wsbtv.com/entertainment/1...212212006&ts=H NEW YORK -- The Miss USA partying episode has led to a war of words between Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump. O'Donnell told her audience on ABC's "The View" Wednesday that Trump's news conference Tuesday with Miss USA Tara Conner had annoyed her "on a multitude of levels" and called him on his own personal misgivings. "Left the first wife, had an affair, left the second wife, had an affair. Had kids both times, but he's the moral compass for 20-year-olds in America," O'Donnell said, as the audience erupted in laughter. "Donald, sit and spin, my friend." Trump, who is the co-owner of the pageant, fiercely responded to O'Donnell's comments in the New York Daily News. "This woman is totally out of control," Trump told the Daily News. "I'm worth billions of dollars, and I have to listen to this fat slob?" Trump also knocked O'Donnell's personal appearance on "The View" during her criticism of him. "When I saw the tape, I said, 'You'd better be careful or I'll send one of my friends over to take your girlfriend!'" Trump told The News. "I imagine it would be pretty easy to take her girlfriend away, considering how Rosie looks." Trump was also annoyed over O'Donnell calling him a "snake oil salesman" and claimed that he went bankrupt but "didn't have to pay." "I never went bankrupt, but she said I went bankrupt. So probably I'll sue her because it would be fun," Trump told the syndicated television show "The Insider." Trump also threatened to sue O'Donnell. "I'd like to take some money out of her fat-ass pockets," Trump told the show. Trump also said her talk show didn't get ratings and her magazine was a "total disaster." |

From Trumps point of view the scandal helps the business. And he's in it to make money. I don't like Rosie and haven't for a while. More recently about the racist remarks she made about asian people which she apologized for but I feel didn't make that many waves in the media. For anyone who doesn't know more info can be found here http://www.accesshollywood.com/news/ah3127.shtml

I like Rosie...don't really care for Trump. I think this issue between them is deeper then this Miss America controversy.

i caught him ripping rosie last night and he was pretty intense. he's upset about her saying he went bankrupt 3 times and then explained that he's worth billions (not to brag
) and that he never went bankrupt. i always thought he did file a couple of times in the past. i think they have a thing each other and should give it a go. ![]()

First: Her initial response was to NOT apologize. "O'Donnell's rep shot back with an unapologetic response to the New York Daily News, painting her client as being targeted by those who apparently just can't take a joke. "I certainly hope that one day they will be able to grasp her humor," Cindi Berger told the newspaper." LINK Second: "To say ching chong to someone is very offensive, and some Asian people have told me it's as bad as the n-word. Which I was like, `Really? I didn't know that.'" ... is NOT an apology! It sounds like she claimed ignorance, but I didn't hear an apology there. It's not like I watch the View, but I can't believe Barbara Walters wants to put up with much more from this no-talent potty-mouthed boorish scalawag. ![]() |

I always thought Rosie was cool and/or talented, but the ching chong incident was ridiculous. I didn't think she was that ignorant, and I definitely didn't think her response was very good apology. She lost a lot of respect from me after that. It seems like now she just doesn't give a damn, and will speak her mind no matter how ignorant / uninformed she is.

I liked Rosie when she had her own show. BUT then she became this militant, uber-dyke and I wasn't too impressed. I think she can be funny and have valid comments and I would pick her over Trump any day. But she does still seem to be leaning to the "I'm always right side"!!!

And you say "Black Folks" always wanna play "race cards"... but it appears to me that non blacks are always ready to toss their cards into the pile first.
(I guess some folks are just lookin' for an argument based on race... They must be bored or something. )

I can accept that.
I just hate the "negative connotation" that some folks get... just for folks standing up for themselves. Either way, it's a tiring, non-ending infinite loop... |

IMO any asian racism goes unnoticed. There's a reason asians in general are or used to be referred to as the "model minority". There are groups or organizations who are asian geared very similar to the NCAAP but they don't get much press.

I've participated in events to get more air time or notice. The response is that asians aren't a major minority and therefore not worth the time. You'll notice that when that minority has great voting power and economic value that the voice becomes more audible. Cases in point are the boycotts in the MLK days. More recently are the Spanish/Hispanic votes and labor markets that were a hot topic before the election. IMO and maybe this is another thread for another day, asians have a reverse "problem". Asians have always been stereotyped as math nerds and hard working so there is not barrier really to do well and racism doesn't hurt the population economically. You may not know also that instead of a quota to get into a college that asians who disclose their ethnicity actually are limited by a cap. The reasoning being too many asians meet the requirements.
I don't about your geographic area but in the DC Metro area, the 'polite' asian stereotype has eroded away. The generation sprouting up is a mixture of that 'politeness' and the Fast and the Furious Rice Rocket/Asian Import model generation who are riding the coattails of their parents who built their wealth on hard work and education that hasn't been completely passed down to the fruit of their loins. As much as I would like as asian version of a NCAAP or other national vocal advocate, I think change is happening at more local levels. |

Also, being thankful is one thing... however being made to feel like you have to be thankful for everything (even the bad stuff) is another. Some folks would rather you just sit quietly and say nothing while they do whatever they want to ya. That's all I was trying to get across. I guess it just depends on what side of fence you are on... Walk a mile. |

Wouldn't that be the "I'm always left!" side? ![]() I've never been a huge fan. She can be funny at times, but as far as I can tell, the View hired her for ratings and it has worked. If she becomes too controversial, and she will as she always has, she'll likely get canned. Notice how quickly her original talk show went downhill after she ambushed Tom Selleck about his stance on gun control, etc., saying anyone who owns a gun should be in jail. Then it came out that her bodyguards carry. Now a few weeks ago she also was in a firearm-related legal issue I believe. Anyway, to piss off some may get more to tune in. To do it a lot and be patently unapologetic will only make people tune out. Barbara Walters took a big gamble. So far it's been a good one, but I don't know how much longer it can last. |

Rosie going to that show improved it????? If that is the case, I don't understand how anyone watched it before.

Eh, she's a loudmouth who sometimes does some good. That doesn't give her any credibility on the issues she champions, nor should she have amnesty in Trump firing back at her for what she said. Good for him.
