Tyson Released After Drug Arrest in Arizona
Mike Tyson is such a sad case. He was raised as a brutal thug and that anger and incredible power was channeled into his boxing career. Then he was put on "happy pills" to control his anger and this eventually cost him his boxing career since it dulled his killer instinct in the ring. What can he do now? He has no real training for anything else and a very limited education.

I've always thought his career was saddening. He had the world in his hands, he was the baddest man out there...even had a video game named after him (classic, too). And then it all came crumbling down. The end began when Cus D'Amato died and Don King came into the picture. Then again, the end came for a lot of guys when King came around.
Watch his old fights, and the fury that he came with. The speed and power, the intensity. He had fights won before he even stepped into the ring (Michael Spinks). How he just brutalized his opponents was amazing. And now, look at what he's become. "...eating babies". Biting off ears. Drugs. It's just sad... ![]() ![]()

I gotta agree. This guy brought boxing to another level. He had to be one of the most explosive and dynamic fighters I've ever seen.

He was incredible when he first burst onto the scene. He was devastating to opponents. Ali finessed and let his opponents tire themselves out before he finished them off. Mike just came at you with thunderous fists and beat you into a pulp. If you were in the ring with him, all you wanted to do was survive. Some think Tyson was deliberately doped in some of his fights (under Don King) so he would lose and then they could have a rematch later and get more money. Tyson probably also had lots of money skimmed from him- he would not have known better.

That and he spent it all on Lambos and multiple mansions, etc., to the point of literally going broke. Then the lawyers re: the rape. I've always thought he had to learn to fight when young just because he sounds like a 3 year old when he talks. |
