Will Farell is the Devil

Kinda oldie but goodie. Some people say they don't understand what's so funny about Will Farell, but one things for sure. He can sure pull off a damn good Will Farell.

I can not stand Will Ferrell. I won't rent a movie that has him in it. He utterly bores me.

I'm not a big Will Farell (or Adam Sandler or Jim Carrey) fan, either, but I heard that his role in Stranger Than Fiction was a big change for him.

Cheapie's referring to one of WF's recent movies, Stranger Than Fiction, with Emma Thompson, Dustin Hoffman, and Maggie Gyllenhaal. I understand what you're saying, JMK, but Stranger Than Fiction was a very good movie, in my opinion, and I'd recommend it to you, as long as you can set aside your distaste for Ferrell. It's not one of his typical slapstick humor movies; he plays a fairly serious role in it, with moments of quirky humor.

On a similar note, I absolutely abhor Leonardo DiCaprio, but I just saw Blood Diamond over the weekend despite this, and the movie turned out to be pretty decent. I don't think there's anything wrong with disliking a particular actor, as long as you make sure not to discount everything that actor is involved in purely because of that dislike.

On a side note, if the video here is the one of Will Ferrell helping Garth Brooks to write a song, I also didn't find that skit all that funny myself.

Another guy I put in the same category as Will is Ben Stiller (pseudo-comedian). He isn't a bit funny, but tries to convince everyone that he is.

I'm indifferent to Ferrell and really liked "Stranger Than Fiction"

I really like Will Farrell - the cowbell piece he did with Christopher Walken was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. He's certainly done some stinkers, but I thought Elf was hilarious.

And I agree, Stranger than Fiction was surprisingly good.

I'm a big Will Farrell fan also. Loved Anchorman and Old School.

I've got a fever and the only cure is more cowbell!

I though Stranger than Fiction was pretty bad. It was really contrived. That and that lady was supposed to be some awesome ground breaking writer and the stuff she was writing was just complete ****.

I actually do know what you mean. One of my parting thoughts about the movie as I left the theater was, "If that story about Ferrell's character was supposed to be her masterpiece, she ain't a very good writer!" But I was willing to suspend my disbelief for the sake of the movie, which I did enjoy. I also realize some of the conventions were a bit cliche, but not enough to take away from my overall enjoyment of the film. Plus, I thought Ferrell did a pretty good job. The movie wasn't much like I expected it to be, and maybe that was another contributing factor to my enjoying it.
