I do! And yes...it is a great series. It gets better too. I really like the humor and the storyline. Where are you at in the series?

The first few episodes... I wasn't so sure about it...

But for the past 20 or so episodes, I can't get enough of it.

Bleach does ROCK!!!! Right now, Cartoon Network is up to about episode #37 (or something in that area).

Be one... with your Zampatu.

it grew on me too.
unlike other animes that adult swim had put out, Bleach by far has kept me interested. Inuyasha (too slow), Eureka Seven (too weepy), Blood + (very fragmented), Trinity Blood (too much politics, not enough kresnik eating the vampires), Samurai Champloo (too realistic story lines its become silly for anime).
Full Metal Alchemist was kinda interesting, And so was Paranoia Agent (waaaay too bizarre, but i like it!). Cartoon Network needs to bring Naruto to Adult Swim time slots.

i think i started with Bleach #4 back then, and im up to the latest [Adult Swim] episode, #40. i realize this isnt the most up to date - i think its up to 119 plus now, with no end yet. but its become intense each past episode.

this last fight with Kenpachi (?) or Kenny is the most brutal. dude just wont die! imagine if he was able to use his zanpakuto's power (which apparently is later shown as non-existent ). plus San-getsu(?) the sword showing him an albino alter-ego in the past episode is setting up the future of the series with more intrigue.

when chad got hacked down, i thought NO WAY, they cant kill him! hes the coolest good guy! but he lived - still had a heartbeat.

they sure drew Orihime real, uhm, round. ha ha!

im DVR'ing it every weeknight now (they replaced full metal alchemist). plus ive been reading up random stuff on the other uhm, 80 episodes (!!!). its hasnt spoiled it for me, in fact its made me want to jump ahead and grab the DVDs. i guess i can keep waiting every saturday, at least its dubbed version, usually gives it a different flavor. The DVDs out now are in subtitles only.

HOORAY FOR B(.Y.)BIES!!!!

But yeah... I do look forward to seeing Naruto and Bleach on Saturday nights... Hopefully CN won't screw us over and just randomly stop showing them.

BTW... if you are watching Naruto... what do you think about the latest fight between the 3 legendary Sannin? Man, that show is also getting better and better as it develops.

DF - As far as Naruto goes....I think those episdoes you are watching are some of the best ones they made.....I just hope they don't show a bunch of the fillers that they showed in the series. Those sucked.

Red - Just wait until he fights byakuya....SO.....AWESOME!!!

you can download the subbed versions. thats what im doing now from #40 on, for my Bleach fix.

http://www.bleachexile.com/multimedi...ime-downloads/

at 640x480, AVI quality is pretty good. its a free signup, but if you donate, you get faster downloads and no waiting. i didnt donate (maybe later), but i find late nights are best for FAST downloads.

obviously a bit of a difference in the translation between the subbed dubbed version (names are referred to their second name, or first name, depending on which culture you look at it, and instead of "soul reapers" theyre still referred to the literal translation "death gods"). and obviously the voices.
its what will keep me watching the [AS] version. i got used to those voices.

DF: i really havent kept up with Naruto lately, so i may start downloading episodes of it also. or DVR it.

j00 are missing some quality action anime my friend...

Naruto has just learned one of the advanced jitsu of the 4th Hokage... the Rasengan (basically, he gathers his chakra into a ball in the palm of his hand... and then he pushes it directly into an enemy with a spinning force that sends them flying and electrocutes them at the same time.

Pretty nasty move... but you should see Master Juriya use it (he originally taught it to the 4th Hokage.. and now he's taught it to Naruto.)

i finally got to that point - and HOLY CREPP! you werent kidding!

and when Kenpachi got more fighting time - the guy is (in every meaning of the word) INSANE! imagine if his zanpakuto actually had a name...

i think its funny how the dubbed US version calls zanpakuto as is (no translation), but the subbed versions still literally translates it as soul slayer. i wonder how the dubbed versions will call shikai and bankai (as is? or translated?).

...

i saw an episode where he does just that - he stops a dagger attack by GRABBING the attacking hand with his one hand (with the dagger between his index and middle fingers!), and his clone rolling the chakra into a ball in his OTHER hand.

WICKED!

time to fire up the torrent! he he!

Oh....I just read the Rasengen thing from you DF....

I don't think Rasengen has anything to do with electricity. It's just a REALLY dense, fast spinning (tornado like) vortex of chakara that will screw you up from the inside out. I think the author of Naruto made it to differenciate Naruto's Rasengen from Sauske's Chidori.

Spoiler below:

Red - It was just so awesome when Bankai was used by Ichigo. And...he gets even more awesome later on in the series. I've been reading the manga and the "other" side of him comes into play a lot.

Umm... ok. I just assumed that all chakra was "energy" and by the way they make it manifest, I just assumed it was electric energy.

It does seem very similar to the Chidori that Sauske and Kakashi use...

Rasengan

Haven't really gotten a chance to get into Bleach or Naruto yet. Been too busy with loving Suzumiya Haruhi and Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society. I'll get to bleach and naruto soon enough...

It's good stuff. "Nevermind" gets more attention because of "Smells like Teen Spirit". But "About a Girl" and "Negative Creep" are classic tracks.

must be "deeper" anime stuff!

back on the Bleach front, I finally got to see my favorite shinigami Kenpachi fighting again. his power is simply too much! just his own spirit pressure alone defeats zanpaktou powers. if he had a name for his own katana he'd be completely invincible. i wonder if the writers will put that in - nice angle to the story.

ive downloaded all the episodes from 41 thru (the current) 133, including the 2 OVAs. im on episode 107 now. im going back to download 1 thru 40. this should be a nice addition to my "on demand" digital video library. he he...

btw, DF, youd be glad to know that theres another figure drawn "round" like Orihime - watch out for lt. Matsumoto.

You should see Kon's reactions to Matsumoto...it's hilarious....and then when he sees her and Orihime together....priceless.

On to something real:
Yep, I'm hooked on Bleach as well. Been watching it every night which is probably not so good since I need to get up in the morning but hey its worth it.

I have no idea what the other show you guys were discussing is. When is it on?

Personally, the best anime on adult swim has been Wolf's Rain. Unfortunately its been over for a long time. Full Metal is great and frankly, I enjoy Inyuasha (dont laugh). Witch Hunter Robin wasn't too bad either. FLCL just made me scratch my head. I used to watch Ghost in the Shell all the time, but all they have been showing is repeats of 2nd gig.

ooooh, SHNAPP!!! i forgot about Kikakuu! and shes been there from the early episodes too. (was too busy looking at orihime and Matsumoto... he he he....)

i think in the manga they drew her WITHOUT the artificial arm, just a stump.
