cycling gloves?

Any suggestions on a tough pair of cycling gloves with the half fingers? I would prefer to buy locally near UCSD. I want a pair durable enough to last a few years and have lots of cushioning. I tried a pair of Pearl Izumi gel-lite's but found the cushioning to be poor and the durability low.

Well I live in CO and cycle and I have a pair of Pearl Cyclone Gloves and a pair of their Gavia Gloves but not the half finger ones. Check out REI for reviews. I love a company out of the east coast www.brandscycle.com. They have great prices on stuff. You could also try

Pittards® Carbon Leather Glove by PI
Gel-Vent Pro Glove by PI

Here is a link to their site to look at a variety of gloves that you should be able to find at REI or your LBS.
