Lakers rocking the short shorts

Back to the 80's for the Lake show.

Wearing the "mini-shorts" tonight vs. the Celts.

Bynum looked the most ridiculous by far. He looked like a big 7'0" baby (he has such a baby face). I don't get to see many televised celtics games here because i'm I'm SoCal but was really impressed with Boston. Their defense was great (even with Kobe having an off night). If they stay healthy, I don't see many teams beating them (even in the West).

Bynum got into foul trouble; Officiating was pretty bad, but it went both ways.

KG was so much for them to handle. Sure, Pierce got all the points, but KG was what really hurt the Lakers. Offensive boards and create 2nd chance opportunities, the ability to draw fouls, and his good hands made him unstoppable. Lakers had nobody to answer. The only way they had a chance was if Kobe was on fire, which he was not.

I don't care much for Pierce though. Maybe it's just me, but he seems a bit too arrogant, and not very sportsmanlike (even in NBA standards).

As I remember now, when I played HS B-Ball in the 70's, we had those darn short shorts too.

Only the women would like those...

Most "straight" men can't stand wearing "nut cutter" shorts.

Is it not possible to have short shorts which are also loose enough to not be "nut cutters"?

Oh my god... I was just having a discussion with a friend of mine a few days ago about why NBA players rock the retro jerseys, but not the retro short-shorts. We both wholeheartedly endorsed the short-shorts, because you can't just let the young'uns pick and choose what they liked about the glory days. This makes me happy, not because I particularly enjoy seeing men in those shorts, but I think rockin the old school style is pretty frickin cool.

On a side note, I think Baron Davis would look dope in that old school gear, with this bigass 70s beard.

Man was not designed to wear shorts above the knees.

That's why we let the "lady folk" wear them. Much better fit.

On second thought, DF makes a great point here. I hereby withdraw my endorsement of short-shorts in the NBA.
