LG Televisions to Offer Netflix Movies

http://www.njbiz.com/daily.asp?eDate...zid=81&tzid=77

LG Electronics Inc. and movie-rental company Netflix Inc. have struck a deal to stream movies and other programming from the Internet to high-definition televisions, both companies announced today.

LG, which has its North American headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, plans to start selling a television equipped with the feature in the second half of this year. Netflix subscribers will be able to watch more than 6,000 movies and TV episodes streamed from the Netflix Web site onto computers or HDTVs made by LG.

“This alliance underscores LG's goal of developing smart technologies that deliver flexibility, convenience and control to consumers," said KI Kwon, president of the consumer electronics division of LG Electronics USA, Inc.

Netflix of Los Gatos, Calif., also has a library of 90,000 DVDs that it rents to subscribers through the postal system. - Thomas Gaudio

Yeah but for 799 the price will have to drop to 150 or so before I think most people will look at these. Otherwise I will just hook up my media PC to my LCD and watch it off of that. But it does have both blue-ray and hd-dvd.
