IMHO, the opening ceremony is better.

For the opening ceremony, I found Team Fortress 2 more interesting. For the closing ceremony, I enjoyed Call of Duty 4.
I will watch them on youtube sometime and enjoy them

I haven't seen the opening ceremony yet but I saw the closing, and didn't think it was all that inspiring. Grand production for sure, but I thought the whole London thing was kinda weak.

if thats a clue as to what London has in mind.it be a flop.
and the mayor from London. he better get some pointers on presenting him and his country. his hair was was not persentable looked like he just got out of a wind tunnel. and his right hand in his suit pocket was not very professional as he walked back off stage. maybe im not the one to point fingers. but it seemed like he was kind of clueless as to how to represent himself in this type of menu.

I unfortunately missed both. Saw some still pictures which looked very nice. The only specific games opening/ closing ceremonies I can remember liking were those at the French Winter Olympics. Maybe I'll have to check out YouTube.
As for the Brits, they have not been that big on physical appearances. Not like here.

I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that. He looked like a complete moron. He had a crappy suit with a crappy tie and didn't even bother to button the jacket. He had no idea what would happen next, though I bet they ran him through rehearsals.

Total moron.

I didn't pay any attention to either, nor the stuff in between.

It was kinda sad b/c there were some really big names performing in the closing ceremony, Wang Lee Hom, Rain (yes he's Korean), Andy Lau, Jackie Chan, and Karen Mok. But b/c the camera people didn't know who was who, they only had a few close up shots of Jackie.

Come to think of it, I didn't even see Jay Chow perform at the opening ceremony.

I didn't see all of either, but I saw some of both (and I thought that both were overproduced and drawn out waaaay to long).

But I thought that the beginning of the opening (the drummers) was incredible. What I saw of the closing wasn't as impressive (but those "big wheel unicycles" really intrigued me - I'd like to see a better picture of how they work).

Each religion has got their own way of making you feel like a victim. The Christians say 'you are a sinner', and you better just zip up your trousers and give the money to the pope and we'll give you a room up in the hotel in the sky.
