Aww man. I liked his stuff. It wasn't the most in-depth writing, but it was entertaining nonetheless.

I credit that man for getting me to enjoy science. I learned more about DNA from reading Jurassic Park in 6th grade than I did in my bio class in 9th grade. I mean, so many of his books were so entertaining and encouraging for students. I think he showed me what the logical conclusion of where scientific study could lead - not the disasters, per se, but that the boring dredge of science education that I had to endure would develop into something amazing and beautiful.
Awesome. RIP.

RIP.
![]() I really enjoyed his writing. A lot of it was pretty fantastical, but the way he wrote about it made it seem plausable. Dinosaurs coming to life? Yeah riiiight. Oh wait, you mean THIS is how they did it and, wait again... that's actually a pretty sound idea. I read most of his books when I was in high school but haven't read his two or three most recent ones.

Aw man that really sucks. JP was a GREAT book and a dynamite movie. I remember that scene where they first see those dinosaurs walking through the valley. When they were in wide eyed amazement - so was I. It was the first time I really suspended my disbelief. RIP.

He was an excellent writer - I've never been disappointed in with any of his work. Too bad...
