![]() However, consistently, the SEC has been pretty sucessful against a good number of the "Northern" conferences... therefore, maybe they were just scared coming in. Who knows... ![]()

SEC is the best football conference, and has been for awhile.

That performance did not show why Tebow deserved the Heisman. He played poorly, at best, in the first half. 2 pickles in one game =/ Heisman candidate, especially when they come against an average D. |

However, Tebow did show more grit of taking it more upon himself to get the job done. Plus you gotta realize, his best receivers were hurt last night. |

I wasn't arguing for Bradford. You said Tebow showed why he deserved the trophy with his performance last night. I disagree. After last night neither of them deserved it but at least Bradford can say he played against a good D. What is Tebow's excuse? He made some very poor decisions in the first half that, if OU was as tough as they were hyped to be, should have been enough to hang an "L" on the Gators. Stoops left too many points on the board and provided the FLA D with confidence after they stopped OU with their goal line stand. The OU coaching was poor at best. |

You are reading into it for the rest of your assumption. But of course I do realize that your words might be swayed by your obvious dislike of Florida to begin with. Last edited by DarkFury : 01-09-2009 at 09:08 AM. |

Bradford through two picks that came from Receiver drops, Tebow through one pick that Nic Harris jumped his route and took (IE Not the receivers fault) and another one straight to a DEFENSIVE LINEMAN..
In my opinion, a heisman candidate can throw. Also, I haven't confirmed this, but last I heard Bradford had the flu, but since I can't confirm that, and don't think it affected his performance, I'm just throwing it out there. |

Yes, I would say that Bradford was accurate... no doubt about that.
Yet, I guess he just isn't quite as "mobile" as Tebow. I can imagine how some of those middle linebackers and defensive backs felt when they just got ran over by a 240lb quarterback. ![]() Kinda like that quarterback that played for Oregon... man, he was truckin' folks left and right on the ground. WHOMP WHOMP... big train comin' through... ![]() |

Neither QB played all that well but Tebow did will UF to a victory in the 2nd half. With that said, Bradford was very accurate when he had time but Florida was able to get pressure on him pretty consistently.
You can't base whether or not someone deserves the heisman on one game.

Bradford isn't a mobile quarterback, there's no doubt about it. But so far, there hasn't been a successful NFL mobile quarterback that I can think of.. Vick wasn't that bad, if not for the Dog Fighting.. Vince Young started out strong, then went limp. I'm sure there's others, but no one really stands out. I'm not saying Bradford will do well in the NFL , who knows. don't even know if he is coming out yet, we know Tebow isn't .. For some unknown reason. |

Hmmm.. Mobile NFL quarterbacks huh?
Randall Cunningham comes to mind... Warren Moon comes to mind... Both were highly sucessful "mobile" quarterbacks... |
