Practice as a band in Guitar Hero/Rockband
Do any of you know if you go into practice mode (that is, no one loses and songs don't end prematurely) in any of the guitar hero / rock band games. I think that would be an attractive feature for newbies that want to play with more advanced players.

Guitar Hero: World Tour doesn't offer it (unless they added it in an update), but Rock Band 2 has an Options menu where you can enable No Fail mode.
Don't even think you need a code for RB2 for it.

Yeah, no fail is definitely the sort of thing I'm looking for.

Yup, No Fail is selectable by default.
When one of your bandmates gets close to failing, their bar will still flash red, but if they fail completely it doesn't fail out. Also, if you don't have all the songs unlocked yet, go to the Options menu and enter this code: Red, Yellow, Blue, Red, Red, Blue, Blue, Red, Yellow, Blue. That will allow you to unlock all the songs (though as with No Fail mode, Achievements are disabled). |
