Agreed. Welcome to the world of TV shows. I've changed my opinion though. Being mostly a movie watcher all my life, I used to think all TV shows simply had bad acting. Of course many do, but recently, I've come to realize that at the very essence, it is a very "different type" of acting to begin with. Nobody can deny that Broadway shows or theater will have a very specific type of acting which may not be considered the most realistic acting that you see from some top class movie stars. I feel TV dramas are the same in that they have a little more freedom to be playful and overdramatic. I'm guessing it's Probably because TV watchers sitting at home with 100's of channels to choose from are generally more fickle that somebody who has just paid $10+ at a theater to watch a specific show. TV shows need to keep their audience interested and their peculiar type of acting helps. I'm not saying it;s necessarily bad acting, but as someone who is so used to movies, I've found it very hard to become immersed in TV dramas. just my 2 cents.
