Hmmm... bought Meet the Parents on DVD tonight... Not quite as good as i expected. I basically feel the same way that Darth does about it. Don't spend the $15 on it, just go rent it. Thats about all your gonna want to see it...

I also rented "Meet the PArents" last night, which my family was anticipating with great relish. Now, I like Ben Stiller a lot, and have a healthy respect for Robert DiNiro, and I even like that Owen fella (who was HILARIOUS in Shanghai Noon), but I though this film lacked energy, like everyone was just sleepwalking through their roles. Stiller and DiNiro had absolutely NO chemistry. The outtake/blooper reel says it all, they just didn't seem to care. The story was pretty weak, the only thing that saved it was the airport scene, and even THAT wasn't thrilling.

Rent it if you love Stiller or DiNiro, avoid it if you don't. Wait, if you love Stiller or DiNiro, you'll be very disappointed. Maybe just everybody should avoid this film.

I rented Meet the Parents last night. I thought it was pretty funny without being sick, which is gettting to be a rarity these days. Definately worth watching, but don't buy it before you see it.

I just saw 15 minutes at the local theathers.

The movie is not like how they make it look in the trailers. I kinda thought it would be a lot like heat

It was a satire of the news industry,
and one of the "bad guys" was oleg taktarov, whom you should know if you watch the ufc. That sob bleeds every match

I know who Olec is, you're right he starts bleeding as soon as he steps in the ring. But....what the hell are you talking about? Are you sure that you know which movie "MEet the Parents" is?

I personally enjoyed the movie. I watched it in the theatre and laughed my butt off, and I rented it this weekend and enjoyed it again. I liked it because I think Ben Stiller is hella funny, and he's getting better every movie that he makes. DeNiro does a decent job but I think his part was limiting.

When Ben Stiller spikes the ball in that girls face I laughed for about 5 minutes. But I'm a little bit sick

Saw Exit Wounds this past weekend. Was an ok flick. One of the better Segal movies to come out in a long while.

DMX had one of the corniest lines in the movie. Straigt from one of his songs. If youve seen it ya gotta know what Im talkin about.

The soundtrack is good if you like the g'rap.

Saw 'Enemy at the Gates' last weekend. I was worried that the romantic subplot might take over the movie. Thankfully that didn't happen. It was a little too 'Saving Private Ryan' at the start. Not that that is a bad thing, but it was just too obvious a ripoff. But as the film went on, it developed very well. All of us thought it was a very well done movie. It's worth the $$$$.

We are thinking about 'Along Came A Spider' this weekend. Yeah, it's Kiss the Girls II, but Kiss the Girls I was a pretty good film. Anyone seen it yet?

yeah.. saw it for free a couple weekends ago at Paramount studios.

was pretty good. I think I liked Kiss the Girls better. Cuz Ashley Judd is hot... not that Monica Potter isn't. But I like Ashley way more.. =P

oh yeah, Morgan Freeman's reprisal of the role of Dr. Alex Cross is cool. Great actor. You can't go wrong with any of his movies....

Just watched Shawshank Redemption again. another great flick... Morgan and Tim Robbins are both incredible. The whole cast for that movie was just casted so well...

Just saw Blow and guess what? That' exactly what it did. Yeah it's interesting because it's a true story and all, but the plot is ecatly what we've seen in every other movie about drugs. The only reason it's slightly more interesting is once again, because it's a true story. I wanted to see a lot of Penelope Cruz, cause I liked her in All About My Mother, but she's annoying in this film. And way too skinny for my taste.

Has anybody seen Bridget Jones' Diary? Is it a good date flick?

I sit and await the premier of Pearl Harbor. That one is the next must see on my list, I think.

I don't know man.. I'd hate to see an historic event like the attack of Pearl Harbor be brought down to the level of a Ben Affleck movie. Unless he finally and suddenly changes the way he makes movies, I feel Jerry Bruckheimer is just gonna make a down to earth Armageddon. Jeez, with all the other great talented directors out there they had to let Bruckheimer do it... Somehow, I feel like I'm gonna be seeing a lot of angry veterans.

But that's just me.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned the Mummy II yet. Isn't this the movie you've all been anxiously anticipating?

Personally, I thought the first one was pretty good, but I generally hate sequels. Did this one really need one?

That said, I'll probably end up seeing it anyway (matinee, that is).

I'm not sure whether it's gonna be a good movie or not, but from the preview, it looked like it'll definitely provide a couple hours of kickass enterntainment. Especially with the Rock!! [grins and raises one eyebrow]...

by the way Brendan. you're last name wouldn't happen to be Frasier, would it? In case it is, sorry, self promotions belong in the spam/MLM referals forum.

It's Fraser dammit! Oops, there goes my cover.

Yeah, it should be fun to see the People's Champ up on the big screen. I've heard it's a pretty small part though. Apparently he has a much more prominent part in The Mummy III.

I agree, good movie or not, it should be sufficient entertainment for one of those rainy Saturday afternoons (a couple weeks into its run to avoid the crowded theatre). Won't fight the early crowds to see it though, even if it means some dumbass who's seen it blowing scenes for me (don't you HATE that?).
