Reign of Fire...worth it?

like the title says...anyone seen it? Thoughts? It seems like one of those movies that could be very good...or suck very bad.

I saw it Opening night. I really liked it. I figured there was going to be more dragons (just based off the ads on the sides of the bus') but there was enough dragon love to satisfy my thirst. I liked it. The dragons looked bad ass. The story was fairly decent. The main portion of the story... was.. well... umm...unbelieveable... but I overlooked it.

I thought it was an enjoyable flick. I thought the dragons were cool looking.

My only complaint was that it wasnt gory enough. I mean you would have thought that with dragons eating people and charring people, they could have done some really cool CGI with the burning flesh etc.

The entire movie could have been filmed in a rock quarry, so I assume they were trying to stay on the low-budget side. Besides, how much CGI is necessary to show instant ash?

The entire storyline was unbelievable (like ... how'd they manage to store something as flammable as gasoline?), but *shrug* it was fun and served its $5 purpose.

And on a side note, anyone else notice that the future seemed rather minority-free? We must be the tastier ones.

Minorities only live in the Star Trek future.

The Americans had a black dude with them... but it's those darn blimeys from across the pond that are lacking in the culture department.
