Of all of them so far I liked DS9 the best - the plot development with the Dominion really held my interest. That and the whole two seasons.

DS9 has a slight edge over the rest, imho.

While I really loved TNG I have to go with DS9.
DS9 was a lot grittier and was a bit more realistic in the interplay of human emotions and relations. TNG was to sanitized.

My favorite has to be TNG with the original series being a close second. DS9 was ok...but never got into voyager or enterprise.

Hard to say. I started my addiction @ the very end of TNG, so I never really saw much of that one when they originally aired. I am now watching TNG on DVDs from Netflix and am enjoying it very much.

Starting with DS9, I was instantly swept into to my Star Trek fix. Very good series.

I liked Voyager, though many don't. Same with Enterprise.

I just like Star Trek so much that I can't HATE anything about it. Though, I do find myself not motivated to watch the Original series as I am a person who loves eye candy. Granted, I do love a good storline, but I just hate how cheesy the old ones look. I know if I was alive during the original airdates of those I would have loved them.

Well, I would have to say either DS9 or TNG. Maybe I will have only one once I finish watching TNG.

TNG is great, but I've seen too many reruns and I know all the episodes. I have all 7 seasons

DS9 is my favorite. Like Grimm said, it's gritty and the characters are very well developed. It has a great cast with a good variety of stories, with the persistent plot really helping. It also has the best episode ever, the Tribble episode. I'm planning on getting all 7 seasons. I love DS9. I'm hoping for a DS9 movie.

Voyager is not my favorite show. It has some moments, but most of the stories are really dumb. Worst of all, the characters were barely developed. I mean there really wasn't any evolution in ANY of the characters. When the show got stale, they introduced 7 of 9. When that got stale they introduced the 4 borg children. It was a horrid show. It had a LOT of promise, but failed to deliver as a series. It did however, have the second best series finale (TNG first, DS9 was fairly dumb).

Enterprise is interesting. The show is actually well filmed, and the stories aren't too bad. This thing actually has a future. Characters are decent. The ship looks cool. I just wish they stop having shows based around T'Pol. She sucks.

I have to say I liked TNG best! DS9 was awesome during the dominion wars....but other than that, TNG beats it in my book.

Btw something I saw in the 7th season dvd extras.

When they were filming the last episode of TNG, they were doing the second season of DS9, pre-production of Voyager, and pre-production on Generations.

I thought it was kinda cool that they were doing all that at the same time...

uh...carry on...

Enterprise? Is that still a show? Is that really a Star Trek?

You're all crazy! Capt. Kirk and the rest of the original crew were the shiznit! When trouble popped up guns started blazing, none of this let's have a committee meeting crap that the rest do! Although on a down note, looking back having Klingons that were just painted gold with Fu Manchu mustaches was a little weak.

Best: The Original series. That crew was the varsity team, the rest are pretenders.

Second: The animated series. Better stories that the others and it had the voices of the real crew.

Third: DS9. The war senario was a little different for Star Trek and the stories were well laid out. It was a continuation rather than a series.

Fourth: Next Gen. It would have ranked higher but since this was the series that contained Wesley Crusher this is as good as it gets.

Fifth: Enterprise. This show is off to a far better start than any of the others except for TOS. Remember how lame the first seasons of TNG, DS9 and Voyager were. I like this one but the stories seem to be getting a little redundant. I think this one can keep getting better.

Worst: Voyager. Put a woman in charge and what's the first thing that happens? Right, they get lost. On top of that all the characters were totally gay! Kim, Paris, Chakotay - not an ounce of testosterone among the lot of them. This show was not worthy of the Star Trek name.

Dude, don't you realize that having shows based around a stoic, emotionally challenged/conflicted character struggling to understand human behavior is a time honored Star Trek tradition. For further info see Spock, Lt. Data and 7 of 9. All the same character really.

But that theme is so old now. The stoic character has been developed, broken down, then redeveloped, then rehashed 4 times. It needs to stop soon.

Btw, what happened to get this thread moved over here?

Right, that's why they put that character in skin tight outfits. And let's face it, skin tight outfits never get old.

Gonna have to disagree with you on these rankings.... Though that comment about Janeway is hilarious!!

But I don't like Enterprise....it's kinda...I don't know...weird. The plots aren't all that great....and it seems like they are reaching with some of the plots. An the theme song is just WRONG!! What happened to the awesome French Horns?! Lyrics on a Star Trek theme!! Blasphamy!! Ah well....

TNG as far as the series is concerned, but I equally enjoy the Original movies as well as TNG movies!
