Did anyone hear Simeon Rice on Jim Rome yesterday?

Rome started to ask him about Pat Tillman (the AZ cardinal who quit football to become an Army Ranger), and Rice started ripping Tillman to shreds...saying he wasn't an NFL caliber player, and going non-stop on how bad he was.

When Rome asked him about his motivation to join the Army, Rice said "I dunno his motivation...maybe he watched Rambo"

What a compete butthead!

BTW, I hear that Simeon Rice scored a "4" on his Wunderlic intelligence test...sure came thru yesterday!

that's low, dude.

someone who has to go off on someone like in that situation either has a huge lack of self-confidence or else has a major attitude problem (i'm thinking that in the case of rice, it's the latter

Yeah I heard it. The clones really lit up the phones bashing Simeon afterwards. My impression was that Jim Rome was trying to talk to Simeon about how awesome of a human being Pat Tillman was for sacrificing millions a year to join the military. Simeon wasn't trying to hear that though, and he made it seem like his sacrifice wasn't that great because he wasn't a very good football player. IT was pretty weak.

Simeon is a great player, but he's definitely not the most compassionate person in the league. He and Warren Sapp are both cheap shot givin' mofo's.

Well, yes, Simeon is probably one of the best "edge" rushers that has ever played the game. But his game is one-dimensional.

After his comments on Rome, the local station interviewed an ex-linebacker for AZ and he said something like "Simeon is probably the worst run-blocking defensive end I have ever seen. He constantly missed assignments, ducked under blocks, swim-blocked, and did not take care of his guy. He made it extremely difficult to play defense"

LOL, not that that's an excuse...the Cards "D" (and "O" for that matter) suck w or w/o Rice!
