Shanghai Knights
I just watched this movie last night. I thought the fight scenes were just as good as anything else Jackie does. Owen is funny and Fann Wong is sweet ('cause she whips the monkey poo out of everyone basically
) Anyone else go see it? |

I want to go see it even though the first one took a big suspension of belief. For instance, Lucy Liu with the flawless European accent, the native american girl at the end who tells the guy to shut up and kiss her
But the fight scenes were great, so I would like to see the second one in the theatre.Since you recommend it I will go ![]() |

Yes, the fight scenes in Shanghai Knights are very good, though Jackie does something interesting that I haven't seen before: at two points in one fight scene he gets the "bad guys" to stop fighting him for a minute and tricks them. I'm thinking it was like the sword-fight scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark (?) when Indie has to fight that big guy in the crowd but didn't because he was sick that day or something.
In any case, Shanghai Knights also has some....strange things happen in it like you mentioned in the first one. There seems to be many connections with famous people, including a few writers. So in that respect it's all false, at least I'm assuming so. Watch the movie to see Jackie and Fann Wong ![]() |
