Old School

I went to a sneak preview of Old School last night. I'm so glad that I did not have to pay for this silly movie. It was an unfunny attempt at "Animal House" humor. I'm sure that it will make a lot of money the first weekend since it has Will Ferrell in it. After the first weekend word of mouth will let people know that this movie isn't worth the money. I hope that Will Ferrell finds better comedies in the future.

I hope you go to a matinee so you don't have to pay full price.

I finally saw this movie last night, and I found it hilarious. Yes, it is very juvenile, and at times very predictable (everything with Blue was way too easy and overdone, and shouldn't have been in the movie), but when it's funny, it's VERY funny. It doesn't hurt that I'm a big fan of "Frank the Tank".

no, i think bumping the old one was fine.

i thought the movie was pretty good too. Animal House it definitely was not, but it had it's moments. i thought it was funny when all Frank had to look forward to for the weekend was heading to Home Depot with the wife so wth... FUNNEL TIME!

"We're going to go to Home Depot. And maybe Bed Bath and Beyond, if we have time. So you never....ok, ok. ONE time! Just give me one!"

And no, it's not on the Animal House level, but Ferrell always cracks me up. Plus, when I pointed out to a friend that there was so much man ass and homoerotic stuff going on, her response was "Yeah, but it's a movie about a fraternity, and frats are filled with man ass and man love." Good point.

Didn't think it was all that funny, but a couple lines had me cracking up. Frank and the streaking scene... "Do you think KFC's still open?" And the opening scene, with that other guy in the cab with no seatbelt... "What do you recommend?" "I recommend you stop being such a ******."
