Most popular anime?

Right now I think it's Naruto. Every can't seem to get enough of it.

Hard to say which one is most popular...I think Cowboy Bebop has a pretty good run considering its been on Toonami's midnight lineup for a long time.

as someone who hardly ever watches anime, i think, if i've heard of it, it must be popular. the MOST recent popular ones i can think of are Cowboy Bebop and Rurouni Kenshin, but lately i've been hearing a lot about this Naruto as well. i've watched a little of all three, and they're all pretty entertaining...

Yeah, Eva and Bebop seem to be very popular, but I didn't think Kenshin was as well known. Bebop was on adult swim, plus it had the movie out in theaters and now DVD. How many other anime series have had a feature length movie shown in US theaters?

I think Initial D is rapidly gaining popularity (nowhere near the previously mentioned though), with Tokyo Pop offering english manga and "westernized" episodes on DVD. You won't have to do the Hong Kong special to see this one anymore. We'll see if it takes off and reaches Bebop levels of popularity. I saw an Initial D sit down video game in an arcade recently.

yea I saw one like before summer started, you can actually have a card that saves your car so you can make mods to it, and gradually get money and make it better

I'm suprised nobody mentioned Last Exile or Hajime no Ippo (aka The Fighter). I guess only serious Anime fans would know those. They are not US released or Dubbed. As for most popular I would have to go with the Dragon Ball series (DB, DBZ, and DB GT), Ranma, and Tenshi and Macross.

Got the newer Ninja Scroll series at BB ($15) and it's decent. Not as good as that breakthrough movie but fun the see Jubei do his thing again.

Oh, and there is some Samurai Series I thinks its called X' but it has like 80+ episodes and Im not buying them. People have said it's a very good series....

I believe you mean Samurai X aka Rurouni Kenshin. Cartoon Network is showing it now.

Actually, isn't Samurai X the predecessor to Rurouni Kenshin? Basically the back story of when he was a Samurai and a manslayer... (Rurouni Kenshin is set in the time period after Samurai X... where he is remorseful for the people he had killed and swore that he would never kill again.)

It's the same series. The company that originaly released the series to the US market wanted a Title that would draw more interest.

Right, it was an OVA that four episodes long. There was a second OVA entitled Seisouhen which is really sad.
