Watch out for jel. He is going to come in and say that preseason doesn't matter. The Lakers tried to win yesterday (with Shaq, Kobe, Karl, & GP in the game late at one time or another) but they couldn't.

Hey, give the Mailman & GP a break. He's new. As for the other too. They deserved to lose. hehe

Yeah, i'm just hatin' on the Lakers because if i recall, there were several threads a few weeks ago where a handful of people were already raving about the Lakers and how they are awesome...and that was BEFORE preseason. So, I think I have every right to make fun of them now. Lakers fans bring it on themselves.

JAIL KOBE. GO CLIPPERS!

LOL.

Did you guys catch their 1st game together or are you just .

Poetry in motion. Phil didnt even care what the score was and neither did the Lakeshow. Did you see all the nice passes and distribution of the ball. Even George and Walton looked good out there. Be in fear Laker haters cuz we are coming.

Bwahahaa haaa haaa hhaaaa!

Lakers 2003-2004 champs!

As much as I'm a Laker fan, I'm not all crazy like Jel. They might have Gary, Karl, Kobe and Shaq; but look at other teams around the Western Conference. Did you forget about the Mavericks, Kings and Spurs? I'm pretty sure those 3 teams can beat the Lakers any day.

Kings? They haven't had the firepower in years past and I don't think they made any great moves this off-season. The Mavericks, Spurs, and TIMBERWOLVES should pose a decent threat/obstacle to the Lakers though. In the eastern conference, the only team I can see with a chance is the Nets. That's a pretty easy pick though with Mourning joining Kidd, Martin, and Jefferson.

Clippers always have good players but the darn owner is so cheap so he usually let them go or sign & trade for more money. I think the Clippers made the most money last year in the NBA. He is in there to make money not winning championship and he's good at it. I don't wanna be one of those bandwagon Lakers fan out there.

If everyone on the Knicks stays healthy, they could make the playoffs. I doubt they'll go very far, but it's possible. Now that Antoine Walker is out of Boston, I would put money down that they are serious contenders this year. Walker was always the problem out there.

Making the playoffs doesn't really mean squat if they don't make a good run at the title. Almost every team in the East has a shot at making the playoffs, but any real contenders? I don't see any beyond NJ. As for Walker hurting Baaston, I'm not sure about that. Yes his shot selection was terrible (hoisting up all sorts of threes and not making a very good percentage)... evidenced by his three-point-contest performance... but he did take some pressure of Pierce. Pierce is going to be double-teamed a lot more this year with no #8 out there. They'll make the playoffs again, but I don't think they can beat the Nets.

Yeah didn't Kobe buy his wife a big new ring after raping that girl in Colorado? Everything seems chill between those two now.
