Thumbs up The Elegant Universe

I've started watching the mini-series on NOVA's website (part of PBS) called The Elegant Universe, which aims at presenting string theory.

It is a most interesting series and it is presented so well that I am quite impressed with the work done by NOVA. I have never before seen such clear and precise explanations given for relativity, quantum mechanics and even gravity.

If you are a science geek like me, or if you enjoy a informative and educational show from time to time, definitely check this series out. It is 3 hours long, but you can a single chapter at a time, each being less than 10 minutes long.

I am so impressed that I am tempted to buy the book and DVD set for future viewing and study.

The string theory does not exist since it was not revealed as such by the Word of God as revealed to man in the book of Genesis.

(sigh)

As both a Christian and a physicist, I would quietly remind you of three things:

1. There are lots of Christians and Jews as members and visitors to G|A...

2. Any scientific theory, law, or principle is simply man's attempt to describe the physical constructs that God used to create the universe with man's very limitted ability to observe them.

3. There is no evidence for a force in the universe that can simultaneously collapse and explode energy, and such an event would exist in offense to the second law of thermodyanamics.

Thank you, Move along to the next window.
