http://spiderman.sonypictures.com/do...dey_01_800.jpg

So it's official the spiderman 2's main villian is doc octopus, looking at the credits dr. conners is in the movie, but no mention of lizard...will the lizard make an apperance.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0316654/fullcredits

Can Doc Oct, be a good enough villian for an entire movie? At least they arn;t doing it like batman, and putting in 2 villains at a time...boy did those suck

i was actually happy with the first one because it was corny enough to be straight from a comic book, but not hollywood-ed to death with special effects, violence and explosions.

I thought they did a good job with the adaptation from comic book to screen. Don't forget, the average age of a comic book reader is probably younger than an 18 year old (if i had to guess)

this is true, this is true. i was actually expecting they would advance that storyline a bit more in spidey 2, but i guess we'll have to wait and see. and with all these villians-to-be making cameos, makes me wonder just how many sequels they're planning on making. it would be rather disappointing not to see their characters come to life after being teased with their presence.

kinda the same thing with the x-men movies and all the little subplots.

The X-Men movies have been very good as well, imho. Good adaptations and if you ever read the comic books, they all had little stories intertwined here and there, especially with someone like Wolverine.

X-Men and X-Men2 have been my favorite comic book adaptations in recent years. Spider-Man was entertaining and well done, but i didn't read too much of it when I was younger. X-Men and Wolverine, on the other hand, i had subscriptions to for a couple years =D

I loved the first one.

I'm looking forward to the one with Venom, maybe the third. I hope they do some forshadowing...maybe adding Brock in the second movie.

Yeah it was a pretty solid port. They even took some comic book images and used them to make the web-slinging scenes look like the comics. However, I'm still cheesed that they took out the web shooters. I guess they wanted it to be more believable (?) by not making Parker a genius inventor, but I think they could have made it work. In fact, a friend of mine had downloaded an old preview trailer (of the first movie, not the upcoming sequel) that showed Peter playing with a web shooter in his room.

I think that was also the same trailer that had the World Trade Center in the background for one of the shots. The later removed it for obvious reasons.
