Coupling: Gone

So Friday morning I arrived to work and my boss was already there. I'm thinking to myself, "shoot, did i miss a meeting? why is he here so early?"

He was here early because someone up higher on the food chain wanted to make a decision whether to 1) continue with America's adaptation of Coupling 2) continue with Coupling, but tape 9 episodes instead of the intended 20ish or 3) cancel the show completely.

Well, according to various news sources, Coupling has been cancelled. I'm glad, because that show was losing us money and ratings. With November sweeps in the works, we didn't want such a bomb to be on the air.

The scary thing is, i worked on a spreadsheet that outlined the estimated revenue from this show. Hmm, maybe it was the fact that i didn't add enough zeros that got this cancelled.....

The second season is out on DVD. yeah...as much as I would like to see the American version succeed it was just to horrible to watch. British version is so much better.

Boomtown was awful. Third Watch has always held its own.

The Restaurant 2 begins production soon. Century City hired the set designer from "Minority Report" and the pilot is expected to air early next year.

I can't believe they bring back crap like The Restaurant and cancel Boomtown, which was excellent!

Jag is performing well in their Friday slot.

I'm kind of upset that they moved it to Friday night because I don't watch it as much since i'm never home.

Shows that suck this season: Threat Matrix, Coupling, Skin, Luis, Boomtown, Lyon's Den, Mullets

Shows that don't suck this season: Las Vegas, CSI, Law & Orders, West Wing, Monk, and all the ones from last season.
