The official Lakers thread

ok, with two thread going, and jel posting in both after every game, it's kinda tough to follow.

so let's just post here. whether you want to say nice/not-so-nice things, let's put it here.

tonite was crazy! what a great game! 4th straight game where all 5 starters in double figures...wow!

The Bucks kept Michael Redd out for too long. He was hot in the third and he didn't play much in the fourth. The Bucks let the game slip away.

Bucks had a big change to win. Bad decision by Terry Porter (Bucks Head Coach). If he had left Redd in they could have won the game. But Lakers again took an advantage of that and played hard Defenese.

also, lakers were shooting crappy freethrows. that's the main thing that i think will get lakers in trouble this year. if they get too cocky, they get too careless, (ie last game and this game) but phil jackson is such an amazing coach, he knows when to put the bench in to let the starters get their head back on.

I only got to see the 2nd half of the game . But dayam....that Payton/Kobe/Shaq breakaway dunk was enough to make it worth it! Awesome game.

if they didn't take out Redd the Bucks will be up by a few points and probably win the game. But yes, Kobe did step up and take it away.

Utah may surprise a lot of teams. Jerry Sloan can coach better than a lot a coaches.
Dallas has no D. Zip, zero, nadda D.
Bulls beat us twice I think last season. Good young talent, just not very good coaching.

Gotta love Kevin WIllis' three point attempt. Sad. For a NBA veteran very sad.

I dont think Willis should of even been out there... I could be wrong but I think Mercer was on the bench and that guy can shoot.

Lakers don't play any D this season since they are not in the traditional half-court game.

Never good to lose but now is the time for it.
GP has to start running the triangle once in a while. Basically when the fast break isn't there.

I had the feeling the Lakers would of lost to the Hornets. They played a really good game with the Spurs. Don't forget that they went into double over time to win the game.

But to the Hornets game they just didn't have enough energy to play the whole 96 minutes.

Wait, wait?!?!? I thought the Lakers were UNBEATABLE with those FOUR guys? Surely you jest that the Lakers couldn't play 2 games back to back and win?! OMG, are you serious? I thought the Lakers were the BEST, yet they can't win their 2 games in their 2 days because they didn't have enough energy? BAHAHAHAHAHA

No D whatsoever...

Looks like the Fab Four can't play D together and the offense doesn't shoot good enough to overcome the oponents. The Lakers are like Dallas.

i don't think there's any problems. i think every team knows the lakers are the team to beat, so they put on their best performance. i only saw a little bit of the game on tv (i knew the score from nba.com), so i didn't want to watch, but from what i did see, memphis did play a good game.

one thing is: the bench has to step up
fish: 3-11
russell: 0-3
rush: 1-4
grant: 0-3
