it's not necessarily that i don't like him. i just wish the networks would pay attention to someone else as well.
see? if i didn't like him, i would have made some "murderer" crack. but i didn't. oops. |

You can tell his teammates are sick of him too. He comes up yelling and screaming dumb crap at them and they just shake their head and hope he goes away soon.

i haven't noticed it as much with the games i see this year, but i hate how both the NFL and NBA, in their broadcasts, tend to focus on one or two stars and ignore everyone else. then, they pick a "storyline" for the game and try to force whatever happens in the game to fit that storyline.
so if the storyline is "peyton manning tries to get the monkey off his back by winning 'the big one'" it wouldn't matter if james was running for 500 yards....they would be either say a.) "look at how manning's leadership is winning this game for the colts." or b.) "the big story here today is how manning has been exclipsed by james." particularly bad about this was the brad nessler/bill walton/tom tolbert combo that did the NBA for ABC/ESPN last year. they sucked so much....and i'm so glad they won't be back this year. |

Ray lewis is one of the best football players right now, why not focus on him?

i have no problem with recognizing his talent. but 3-4....thousand times a game is over the top. and it's not even necessarily his fault. whitak's right. the producers have to have some stupid storyline and the game be damned!

I'm with ya cheapie. The 2nd grade ESPN announcers wouldn't shut the F up about him. Cheapie wasn't exaggerating. After EVERY play, they mentioned his damn name or showed a clip of him pumping his team up. Now I know how people felt when Marshall Faulk was doing so awesome.
At least the rams "won." (I say that because I don't really call it a victory since our defense won the game. It's just a non-loss.)
