Titanium vs. Carbon. Which bike should I buy?

I'm buying a new road bike and want some opinions.

I've demoed Trek's carbon 5200 and will most likely buy it with a couple of upgrades. I've never ridden ti. Is there any reason I should go w/a ti frame over carbon? Is the ride any better? If I buy ti, it'll probly be a Litespeed, dunno which one.

For three grand, you should demand plutonium.

I've always been a fan of Trek bikes. I think i've owned 3 in my lifetime and not once did they fail me. Instead, someone stole one. Otherwise, they're built like tanks and have proven to be reliable imho.
