I saw this over the weekend. It's very comic book like. The character in it are really cool. I had never read the comics but I went to go see it cause I thought Hellboy himself looked cool. The main enemy (Rasputin) is laughable at. One of the antagonists, Kroenen is pretty bad ass looking. He's like a ninja nazi with a gasmask and blades. Apart from that, the other evil is a monster Samiel which splits into 2 every time. So basically, you see a lot of Samiel throughout the movie. As far as the movie goes it's really not all that great. The story line is alright but it's boring and unbelievable. The movie tries to put a lot of different plot lines together that would take hours to explain. I found myself wanting to know more about the origins of Hellboy and his affiliations with the Nazi occult but instead most of the side story is focused on Hellboys love affair with a colleague freak. Hellboy delivers several one-line jokes which I didn't find funny at all but aparently the rest of the theater did.

I guess those are my random thoughts on the movie. I'd give it 6/10.

i liked it. the ending was a bit predictable and didn't have twists or drama. but it was an amusing movie that i would recommend. 7/10
