I think they have any 2 of the series for $25 at BB.

I don't think im getting it. Same reason I didnt pick up Blade 2. Xmen 2 im getting when its on sale. That was a good sequel IMO.

I'm sure in a couple months they'll rerelease the trilogy in one pack with more extras as usual.

I'll probably get it. That is if it happens to be on sale when I walk past it at Blockbuster. For $20 no way. For $10, yeah I'd buy it.

I really do not see what people's problem with the trilogy was. This is some of the reasons why I think people didn't like it.

1. Neo died.

2. People STILL don't get the fact that there are NO free humans in the real world.

3. The machines still win.

4. The special effects weren't as groundbreaking as the first one. BFD, you can only improve the wheel so much.

5. Trinity dies.

I think that people had an idea where the movie was going and how it should turn out. Then, the brothers took it in a completely different direction and people got pissed that they either weren't right, or the brothers weren't following their idea of what the movie should be. Then, since a few people didn't like it, everybody just jumped all over it and parroted the same damn line. Seriously, people need to get over themselves.

I'll buy it because it was entertaining and it turned out the only way it logically could.

I'll be waiting until it comes out in a set. I see no reason to buy the individual movies, when I can wait a little longer and get more for less.

i just watched it today for the first time, i dont think that neo died. honestly, that whole scene looked exactly like the ending scene from X2 when jean died. and did the machines actually win? it was more like an "understanding" for the time being. it felt like a bad setup for a possible sequel.

Eh, hate to disagree, but Neo's deader than Tupac (I could just as easily have said Elvis, but I've actually met crazies who refuse to believe in the death of either, but more who think Elvis is still roaming...). Unless you take it in the sense that he's alive in the system, which askin to saying that someone is alive in our hearts and memories, Neo's done and baked.

Mr. Anderson... We missed you.

well I bought mine today, Fry's 14.99. ALso picked up the Animatrix for 9.99. I got the first one for christmas and the second for 9.99 at Fry's earlier. Who cares about the set. I am happy with my purchase and that is all that matters to me.

Now star wars trilogy.... that needs to be a set.

LOTR, my gf and I have a system, I buy the theatre cut she buys the extended cuts. We like em both.

i would agree with that except for at the end when the little girl asks the oracle
"will we ever see him again?"
"i suspect so, someday"

the oracle could be just "telling her what she needs to hear", but id put my bet on another sequel, Matrix: Resurrection perhaps

Mm, I heard that, but I think she means that another form of "the One" will appear. Not to be confused with the Nordic surfing Jet Li that got killed off in his movie.

I think by "I suspect so, someday", she didn't mean neo, but "The One". As they explained it, "The Ones" show up every so often, and at the same time a counter balance pops up in the matrix.

hah! then i'm gonna wait for the Spider-Man trilogy, and the XMen trilogy, .... and other trilogies that are based off a movie that wasnt expected to do well but did, that Hollywood ended up milking for all its worth.

now honestly, who would've thought movies like Austin Powers, Chucky, Scary Movie, Fast & Furious, etc... would end up being series?

out of those, I knew, yes knew, A.P. Chucky, and Scary Movie would all be more than 1 parters. Spider-man, and X-men, I had been hearing about them forever, and then before the movie even came out, i was hearing about a sequel. Granted I bought Spider-man ( : ) just because it was easier to buy it, than rent it or try to see it in the theaters.

Maybe it's just me, but I also tend to wait a while after these movies have been released on DVD. I almost never buy them in the first few months they come out.

I usually get every DVD/CD on sale. No reason to pay full pop when you find em at least 25% off somewhere during the 1st week of release. It savings can add up really quick with movies and music.
