would you watch?
this just about says the quality of programming we have currently...
![]() fromhollywood reporter The Vine: Spears getting real for series by Andrew Wallenstein Is broadcast television ready for Britney Spears? Representatives for the pop princess are shopping an unscripted series featuring backstage footage of her life on tour, according to sources. Spears would executive produce the series out of her Fairy Zone banner in association with Diamond Park Entertainment, which is run by her manager, Larry Rudolph, and Lisa Falcone. The project is under the supervision of Robb Dalton, president of program development at Twentieth Television, where it will be produced by alternative division Foxlab and an outside company, Zoo Prods. Reps for Spears declined comment late Monday. Being pitched with the pun-style title "OnTourage," the series would follow the lives of Spears and her fellow dancers on the European leg of the Onyx Hotel Tour, her steamy concert series. "OnTourage" is being described as a cross between MTV's "The Real World" and 1991's "Madonna: Truth or Dare." Spears would narrate and even wield a digital camera to chronicle her adventures with her dancers, bodyguards and managers from the tour bus to the stage. "OnTourage" is being billed as boasting an ensemble cast that features a theme right out of Fox's "The Simple Life," with some of the dancers having never ventured out of the United States encountering the European high life. The six-week shoot would produce six episodes that Spears' team would hope to have on the air as early as the summer, presumably providing a boon to the already healthy ticket revenue she is generating. No word on whether any particular network is close to a deal, but the front-running network will have to act fast: Spears' European tour kicks off in London on April 27. Another potential hitch: The budget is projected to run north of $1 million per episode, which is expensive by unscripted standards. |

britney IS an entertainer, but I would never watch a television show that included her...unless it was one of those shows where they mock the person till they cry. Then I would watch.

I would never even consider wasting my ReplayTV HD space on that. I'm with Ray though if they would humiliate her on a regular basis then I'd allocate some time to it - maybe 3-4 hours on the DVR.
