Who is going to see "The Punisher"?

WHo, other than me, is going to see the Punisher. I figure it has to be better than the Dolph Lungdren version which I also watched when it came out. All I can say is, please let the value of the comics jump again. I always like it when that happens.

Looks like it could be a good movie, and I've always liked the cut of his jib ... but I'm a little disappointed that it'll become even more mainstream now. Now it'd look way too pop-culture to wear my Punisher shirt.

I used to read the comic books. I like the music from the film. I guess I'll go see it.

Do they run that staind song in the commercial. If they do that song is not on the soundtrack/movie. False advertising of a song.

Unless it gets great reviews, Im not seeing it. Kill bill 2 will be the next flick I see.

Depends on which trailer...but the first 5-10 seconds of one trailer has the track:

Seether f/Amy Lee - Broken

AWESOME SONG

I'll see it. I always liked the Punisher comics. Although if I remember correctly, in the comics Frank Castle was a bit larger (muscle-wise) than this guy is.

It's actually done all the time. I can't tell you how many times movies have played soundtracks to Last of the Mohicans and Lord of the Rings for their trailer background music. (I think Castaway used Braveheart music.) I'm not sure how they get away with it, but they do.

Not going to see it. I don't think they can make it work without some gimmick. Batman has his batmobile and gadgets. Spider-Man has his spidey things. X-men well are the X-men. The Punisher has...what?..guns? Maybe if it was like I dunno...Charles Bronson like or something maybe. Are they making a Ghost Rider movie? That might work.

From the ads, it looks too sappy for my taste. The Punisher was a dark comic, too dark for Hollywood. They'll find some lame-ass plot device, like a chick, or an orphaned kid, or something dorky like that to make the character more likeable and "human."

I went to see the Punisher last night. It was violent. And more violence. The acting and script were pretty awful to say the least. It seemed like they took the entire script straight from the comic books. And I mean, the ENTIRE script. I guess the movie was entertaining at times, but nothing to get excited about.
