I can believe that people wouldn't know what the "K" word was. Especially cheapie, because it's pretty obvious that he wasn't exposed to the whole list of racial slurs(which is a good thing) growing up. Good to know so that you know not to use it or think it's cool when other people use it

i learned that word when michael jackson used it in one of his songs and set off a pretty big uproar

yup. i guess i've heard of it but didn't really know what it means, who it referred to, or even that it was necessarily a slur. i guess it's cool that i didn't know what it means.

i think it might be a generational thing. i talk to old people at work and they say, yeah, they are swedish, jewish, etc. they can tell because of their name.

i guess the only other race/culture i have had experience with is african americans because i lived in a black neighborhood for a long time.
