Larry Brown... Class Act.
Larry Brown gave the classiest speech ever after the game from the stage. Totally humble, totally classy.
He acknowledged Rick Carlisle, the players who he traded this year, Joe Dumars, Dean Smith, his mother... WOW! All this immediately after winning his first NBA championship as a coach! Again, I say, "WOW!" Way to go Larry. The respect just keeps on growing. Dave. |

i forgot to mention that. my best friend and i were watching the trophy presentation (over the phone) and when he said that we were like.... PURE CLASS.
the other thing that i thought was hugely classy was how he went over and gave Karl Malone a hug before the game and talked to him for a couple minutes. he could have been talking to his assistant coaches or firing up his players, but instead he took out time to talk to one of the NBA's great players and competitors who was felled by injury. he's just a classy guy. |

 indeed. thats the type of coach you want to positively influence your team. (especially if you have a guy like Rasheed on your team.)

he probably has. i wouldn't be surprised if he retired this summer.
(i mean, we're talking about a guy who has spent his career chasing perfection. now, he's acheived it [at least in some respects]. i wouldn't be surprised if he decided to hang it up, at least for now.) |

I would say he deserved it after all the years of coaching. What a marvelous job he did. from nowhere to win the championship.
