Griffey Hits #500

The title says it all. While its a great accomplishment, I think most of us figured he would be on his way to 600 by now but due to injuries its going to take a little longer

Congrats to The Kid. But like Slaus said, I think pretty much everyone had him pegged as the man who was going to break Aaron's record, so we'd all expected #600 to be in the books at this point, letting him crack 700 in his declining years with some obscure team.

He made a bad career choice leaving Seattle. My friends brother was a scout for them and he said their main goal was to keep Griffey and whatever happened to ARod was secondary. They lost both players, but I think Seattle would have gotten a championship between then and now if they were able to keep either.

If they were able to keep Randy Johnson, A-Rod, Griffey and Edgar they probably would have won a championship.
