And she's not the only one. Wonder how many in Hollywood are right on the borderline.

it's also the pressure of being a star for 18 years...

a borderline star, but in the public eye nevertheless...

Blah. I was going to post the onion article about these two from a while back but apparently they've started charging if you want to read old articles. What are they thinking

that's really too bad. obviously, there has been a lot of pressure on her (and her sister) for most of their lives. i hope she can work through her problems.....eating disorders are nothing to mess around with.

Well on "Full House" all they had to do was "look cute", smile, and say "witty things" on cue...

What other pressures did they have? Is it the "trust money" that caused the pressure? I'm just wondering....

hopefully, Bob Sagat will tell her that him, Uncle Joey and Uncle Jesse all love her, no matter how she looks. And then there will be a big group hug, everyone will go "awwwww" and Mary-Kate will say "You got it, duuude!"

yeah, but it's not like it's really natural for a 2 year old to sit there and smile on cue, especially for hours a day during filming of a sitcom.

and whether it's by choice or not, those girls have basically been making movies, designing clothes, writing books, making CDs, etc since they were old enough to talk. they basically were becoming business executives helping to run a multimillion dollar business empire when they were 10 or 12. they've never had a childhood, at least not a normal one. and eventually, i think that wears on you. sure, maybe an objective observer would say that you have it made, that you don't need to worry about what people think, and that you can just live your life however you want to. but when you're in that position, i don't think you necessarily recognize that and instead feel a lot of pressure to live up to expectations, or the expectations you perceive people have for you.

Eh, I bet she's actually checking into the clinic for an unrelated case of genital herpes, which is much more embarassing than saying that you throw up after you eat.

So is Ashley Olsen fine? THey look the same, so how can only one of them be anorexic.

Wow... they REALLY are livin' the "Hard Life".

i would just split the money down the middle and do whatever on my own (if i were one of the twins).

$175,000,000.00 has enough zeros for me to spend.

i'm not saying you should feel sorry for her. i'm just saying that her life hasn't necessarily been easy.....and having money doesn't solve a lot of life's problems. in a lot of cases it just brings more.

but man, it never feels that way when you're broke. trust me

heh, i also know what it is to be broke.
the feeling of helplessness.... and i never borrow money - i despise it (i guess out of pride or shame)

i have come to see the importance and benefit of having something tucked aside, for those "just in case" moments. i learned awhile back that living from paycheck to paycheck isnt good for my outlook in life, gives me an impression of myself as a hamster in a neverending run in a mousewheel. i felt then that i had no escape, that i was trapped. consequently i always felt depressed, and a sourpuss to everyone around me. who wants THAT?

yeah, given a choice, i would prefer to have the problem of having too much money. there are more choices in that situation than having NO money.

Heh... the right amount of money can relieve ALOT of stress.

I think 175 million would cover it... yeah.

DF, has rap music taught you nothing? "Mo money, mo problems"...although I don't think Biggie was referring to anorexia as one of those problems.

I'll take my chances of finding it out myself... You mind spottin' me the $175 mil?

The "Mo Problems" mostly come from the "fame" (and the efforts to keep it intact).... but since I am not famous, pretty much I can handle any of the other problems that could potentially come up.

I'd call you a pedophile, but they're over 18, and you're closer to their age so you get a pass.
