Phillip Rivers. $41 million
supposedly, there's about 11 mil in incentives... I'm not seeing any news about how big the signing bonus is, but perhaps now...football can resume in san diego.

Hopefully Brees can make a nice showing the first few games, so that he sits on his arse wishing he would have made up his mind earlier.

Ugh. I went to the Bolts-Cardinals preseason Sat night. If that's how the Cards play against a pathetic team, we are looking at a 1-15 season.
I wish the NFL had a slotted rookie salary like the NBA. Holdouts, and overpaying for nonperformers that stay on the books for 4-6 years gets old. The rooks need camp - if they holdout it's like flushing the 1st year salary down the toilet. |

with the nfl teams being allowed to cut players whenever they want to, no way the players union gives rookies low rookie salaries. thats why the football players have incredible bonuses - that's the only guaranteed money they got.
