That was just freaky to watch. If I saw him out in the street (ala Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark), I'd just pull out the revolver and be done with it.

Dude, i think he flashed us Blue Steele at the intro part of his session. But yes, the revolver is a good solution.

Well he can twirl the bo nicely and of course being able to throw it up in the air and catch it behind your back it a vital combat skill so I'm going with the cheerleader option.

It is just more of this extreme martial arts crap that is more about flashy moves and screaming than about actual combat skills.

That's why it's called Martial ARTS. If you get into a fight you're not going to bust into your competition routine and you probably aren't carrying a bo.

Yet another reason why I study Judo. It is excellent for self-defense (a carjacker in Los Angeles found this out the hard way a couple years ago when he tried to take the van belonging to a Judo team visiting from Florida).
