Carlos Santana

is one cool 57 year old. he says when he gets on his guitar it makes him feel like he is 17 years old again. amazing he has been at it for 4 decades.
i have always liked his collaboration with Rob Thomas and Michelle Branch.

I saw Santana at the Carrier Dome when he opened for Rod Stewart (perhaps you were there for that one Nickel)..he SUCKED. It was right after his pal Miles Davis Died and I think he was still in his all drugged up mode or something-people literally booed him off the stage after an hour-he was in some sort of induced haze and he kept forgetting what he was playing. He'd stop in the middle of a jamming tune on the guitar and just stand there and look around...
Needless to day-Rod Stewart made up for it..2 HOURS of nothing but PURE CLASSIC 80's tunes...WoOoOOOHoOoo....that and the 200 bagpipers that opened the show..WILD I TELL YA..JUST WILD.

wasn't there..... but i do know he admits to having drug addictions in the past and has said with therapy and divine intervention he has put that all behind him. he freely talks about it now.

I really like his last two albums that had collaborations on it. It was amazing, and it still has Santana songs on it. He is one of those amazing artists.

I got one of his albums a couple of years ago after he made his comeback, and I wasn't very impressed. I think he has had his day and should just give up.

You gotta lay off them tweeds johnny. Santana is as good as he ever was. Although I didn't really care for his last compilaton album, Supernatural is an incredible album. Obby I think that you must have caught him at a bad time, because I saw him in concert about 4 years ago, and it was the best concert that I have ever been to. Hopefully Carlos is done with the compilations as I think he has milked that genre dry. Hopefully he returns to a lot of his instrumental innvoative guitar work. He is a master without a doubt.
