SHE DID!!!

it was the last song of her ENCORE too - i cant believe she played it! i was in chuckles the whole song...

it was a LONGass concert - started around 8, didnt finish til 12midnight.
i ended up taking my sister and 3 of my nieces (one 24, one, 18, and the youngest was 14). they were funny - it was sponsored by maybelline, and they had these make-up stations. All 4 of them went and had their make-ups retouched and what not. the line got long, and one of the women in line thought one of my nieces was cutting in line (she just went and got something in teh car and left my other niece with the line), and said something about it. Instead of arguing further, my niece said to the woman, " its ok, you go ahead - you DO need a makeover bad anyway."
ha ha!

a BIG thanks also goes to usedillusion for taking one of the tickets off my hands. a real trooper - she had a headache but stayed for the rest of the show. real cool of her!

When I saw her a while back she did HWC, but that night that song she ended with was **** and Run. Another great one.

And Nickel, that girl looks fine in person. I was about 10-15 feet from the stage and that is close enough to see that her looks are not camera tricks.

Just because you're in Korea and don't hear about singers that have actual talent. Go back to looking at pictures of Boa and Finkl and HOT.

heh, she did sing that one too - more towards the end of her setlist. She knew how funny the song HWC was, and you can tell as she strums and sings it (she has this bigass grin on her face ).

anyways, she came out with an earpiece mic(is that what you call it?) and her fender mustang (or was that a jaguar? i forget), wearing this very mini miniskirt, black frilly stockings that go all the way up just past her knee, and a black midriff A-shirt with AC/DC on it. When shes strumming her guitar, one shoulder keeps dropping off, revealing what seems to be a silverish gray bra with black trim.

WHEW! with that get-up its kinda difficult to focus on the music, so on some parts i have to close my eyes just so i can concentrate on it. but yeah, i have to admit i was fascinated at how well she looked GREAT on stage. she still looks very slender even after having 2 children.

plus the fact that she LOVES to shake her boo-tay - gyrating her hips while she sings the songs. in some of them she just used the guitar as sort of a "cane" to prop her up while she dances behind it. you would think she was practicing on a pole or something... she can really work it.

i like that about her - shes not only unafraid of singing about brutally honest and very frank subject matters, shes also unafraid to BE sexy and beautiful. most beautiful singer-songwriters downplay their looks in favor of modesty. Liz Phair is almost UNinhibited on stage. she actually has a very nice singing voice and can get up there in the range, though most of her songs are in a low-pitched, baritonesque timbre. Which is another appeal - its like she's talking to you at a conversational tone when you listen to her sing her songs.

btw, thanks for the beeeeeutiful pics, Merlin!
