I don't remember anything about the movie other than George Clooney was in it. Yum!

Love this movie! Of course it is based on the Oddyssey . "Damn, were in a tight spot!".
"But you're not bonafide!"
"I done r-u-n-n o-f-t!"
"Ain't this place a quirk of nature! Two weeks from everywhere!"
"Them sireenes done turned my brother into a horney toad!"

i feel very strongly about this movie. being that i have never read the odyssey, i constantly felt like everyone else in the theater was in on a joke that i just didn't get. as a stand-alone movie, O Brother was a waste of film. if you've read the odyssey, then you have the luxury of making the connections to the film, but if you haven't, then it's simply a jumble of loosely connected random events that follow almost no plotline.
