Yes, it's good to have CFB back...

But those ****ing Beavers... always find a way to blow it! They had LSU on the ropes all night! 3 missed PAT's... disgusting.

It's fun to watch college football especially when I don't have a favorite team.

I guess the hurricane postponed the meeting between the Hurricanes and the Seminoles this weekend...

More or less, that game is gonna help decide the conference champs in the ACC.

i'm surprised that Cal is ranked so high. is it cuz they gave USC their only loss last season?

i'm surprised UCLA got any votes at all (7) on the espn poll.

yay. i love college football.

Yeah I was surprised too that they were ranked 13th. THey do have a nice offense, with an all-american wide reciever and there's that freshman Lynch that looks promising.

Whooooooooa, C-A-N-E-S CANES!

I would've been so pissed if they'd played that game, because I might've missed it with the power out. I'm already annoyed I missed the LSU near-miss, but I would've rioted over missing a Canes game.

they returned 16 of 22 starters.

Have the #1 receiving WR from last year (now that Fitzgerald is gone) and also a top QB. Probably one of the hottest coaches in college football currently and have beaten USC 4 of the last 6 years.

Just wondering, is the kicker from Oregon State a female or just Euro? I saw the name Alexis and thought, "oh God if they have a girl kicker and she missed 3 PATs which cost them the game she will be tarred and feathered." If its just a european guy he will simply be laughed back to the soccer field with little harm.

Hey Canta, the alma mater got pounded by Wisconsin. I heard O'Leary wasn't there because of a death in his family...though with that score, it probably wouldn't have made a big difference.

I wasn't planning on us winning, although I would have been happier if our offense had shown up.

I think next week will be uglier for us than this wisconson game was. West Virginia's offense is way better than Wisconson's.

I know a lot of people are saying West Virginia looks good this year, but it's easy to say that when they dont' have to play Miami.

You know, he's a red shirt freshman, which is supposed to mean something, but if the guy has been playing football his whole life or something to that effect, don't you think he'd be used to that kind of pressure?

So to answer you, I hadn't heard of the guy before Saturday....although that tar and feather idea...

They didnt lose that game just because of the kicker, coaching had just as much to do with it. In fact the final play was a bad call. Why go for the point after when he already missed 2. Your in a hostile environment, on the road, in ot. He should have gone for 2 and forced the issue. Lose or win with one play. Especially since the momentum was against them. The other thing the coach did wrong was try to run out the clock with no running ability. Oregon D' stopped LSU at the 3 yard line and was called to do it again 5 minutes later. I was watching the game to see the "co champs" and thought Oregon was going to choke at the end and sure enough....

That's what OrSU is all about. ...unfortunately. Since I'm not up on all my minor football rules, I've been curious why there wasn't a big deal about the OrSU coach calling a timeout at the end of that game. I assume he should have gotten the timeout, but is there some technicality that prevented this besides maybe not being seen well enough?

Maybe I'm wrong about this too, but if a team kicks around the #3 ranked team, wouldn't you think the lower-ranked team get ranked higher? If not, shouldn't the higher team get a lower rank? This hasn't happened. I'm curious why.

LSU dropped big after a win. You can't climb the ranking with a loss unless a lot of other teams lose to weaker teams.

That game was sooooooo boring. I seriously had trouble watching it. Both offenses were god awful. Rix sucks, as he has sucked since day 1 of his freshman year. Berlin sucks even more because he was way overrated coming out of highschool and transferred out of UF because he thought he was too good which I'm sure UF isn't upset about at all now. Its funny how every year FSU fans always say, "this is the year Rix will really come up big, since he has more experience. he wont make rookie mistakes anymore." No amount of experience will add IQ points and last I heard there is no pill you can take to suddenly make you a good quarterback when you have sucked always before.
