Winning Streak Continues On 'Jeopardy!'
Jennings Has Won Over $1.3 Million POSTED: 2:19 pm EDT September 5, 2004 NEW YORK -- The million-dollar egghead from TV's "Jeopardy!" is returning to the game show to defend his championship Ken Jennings has already won more than $1.3 million dollars on the show -- before it went on summer hiatus. On Monday's show, the Salt Lake City software engineer returns to try to extend his winning streak, which now stands at 38 games. Formerly, "Jeopardy!" contestants were limited to five appearances. But the show changed its rules a year ago, allowing a winner to remain until defeated. And if the 30-year-old Jennings keeps winning, he'll keep coming back. A "Jeopardy!" spokesman said there's been no talk of any cutoff point if the streak continues

yeh, i could never understand the rumors of him being cut off at some point for winning too long. this has helped increase the Jeopardy audience greatly i'm sure, and if they weren't giving the money out to him it would be going to someone else.
and as far as his winning streak.... i have spoiler info

holy mother...he IS back...and he didn't get any dumber in the meantime...31600 to 5000 to 3200 after double jeopardy.
although he missed a rather odd comic book question, finished with 10001, but no one else got it. but still...damn  |
