Astros, Astros, Astros....

On one hand....I'm VERY happy that they have just won 12 in a row....on the other...I don't know if I should get my hopes up just to be let down again!

PLEASE ASTROS!!! DO SOMETHING RIGHT THIS YEAR!!!!

Ok....I feel much better now....

It's a great win streak that they've been able to put together, right up there with Boston. They passed my Padres in the Wildcard so I'm not too happy about it, but at the same time I don't know why it took so long for them to get their stuff together. They had a winning combination at the beginning and with Roger Clemens and Andy Pettite you gotta think you've gotta good chance. If my choices were limited to all the teams in the wildcard (minus my Padres), I would wish for Houston to win it over the Cubs, Giants, and Marlins. Let's see though how they fair against St. Louis next week. They've been killin my boys.

That said, go Padres.

Well...it looks like they finally got their offense together. Before it was very streaky. Also, our pitching was unstable, even with Clemens. Pettitte is gone for the year, Oswalt hasn't been dominating until lately, and the pen sucked ass. But finally, everything is now rolloing together smoothly. Let's hope it continues and the Astros don't have their yearly end of the season crash.

WOOHOO!!! GO ASTROS!

Congrats on an amazing win streak! It still stuns me how on something like August 26th they were 7 out. Wow.

LW so far on this trip to Pit. On the upside to the loss....Carlos Hernadez played pitched pretty well. Still tied for lead in wild card.

GO 'STROS!!!

yeah...choked at SF. Lost 2 out of 3. At least we won the last one, but this feels like last year all over again

God, I hope so! j/k! If the Cubs don't make it in, I just want the Cardinals eliminated (actually, even if the Cubs do make it in I want that).

Going to be interesting with SF and the Dodgers. SF's 1 1/2 games behind the Dodgers, and 1/2 game behind the Cubs. SF and the Dodgers play each other 6 times in the next week and a half. If either team takes 4 of 6, the other team is kinda screwed.

Bah! I just got back from the Padres v. Giants game. Giants won the game even though Barry Balco went 0-3 with 2 walks. I gotta say, Giants fans are freakin obnoxious. No such thing as a gracious victory for these fools here in Diego. In my younger years I might have tangled it up a bit but I'm a peaceful man now. I was hoping that if the Pads didn't make it into the playoffs that the Giants would beat the Dodgers. However now, the Giants are number one on my schitt list. I hope the Pads win these last 2 and then the Dodgers sweep that arse right into next year.

Astros pulled one out today congrats. Just about a 3 way tie for the wildcard with 5 games left. Pretty awesome.

Wow, must be nice to have a team that doesn't choke, and choke bad

Anyway, congrats. I'm pretty amazed at the Astros this year. They were all but dead, and then the smoked the Cubbies and never looked back.

My Padres went out like chumps tonight, losing to the Giants 4-1. I missed the last inning of the game though because unfortunately there was the biggest brawl I have ever seen at a game. It was ugly and I am a little bit ashamed at what happened, as it was very ugly. It was not the ending to a season that I had hoped for.

I am now officially on the Astros Wildcard bandwagon. Go Biggs, Go Baggs, and Go Clemens

Is Pettite still on the DL?

BTW, watching Finley hit that walk off grand slam was incredibly rewarding. It's all in the Stros hands now. Win and get in.

Unfortunately, Pettitte is done for the year or else I think the Astros might be the favorite.

YAAAAAAA!!!! One game ahead! Don't blow it 'Stros!!

And yes, Pettitte opted for surgury which ended his season. So did Miller. So....our #2 and #4 pitchers are out for the year....which kinda sucked. But as long as the Rocket gets his thing going next game we are in the playoffs!!

GO 'STROS!!!!

Plus the wildcard plays the Cards. Besides the Padres the Stros are the only other team that pwns them!
